PRO HEALTH CARE SERVICES CURRENT PROCEDURE IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19
PROTECTing YOU AND YOUR PATIENTS
FROM the spread of COVID-19
Dear Team Members,
Out of an abundance of caution, we are making a few immediate changes to protect the health and safety of those we serve, our team members, and the community. Please keep in mind that the information we receive from our health officials changes regularly, so this will be the page where you can find all of our directives as the situation progresses. This information is not to cause alarm, to the contrary, we want to help our community stay ahead of any crisis that might arise.
Effective immediately, we are implementing the following risk assessment procedure to help prevent the COVID-19 virus from spreading any further. Please READ through the steps carefully and let us know if you have any questions.
Effective immediately when making a home visit all PHCS team members must ask the patient/client the following questions to help identify if they are at risk for having COVID-19 infection before or immediately upon arrival to their home:
- Have you traveled outside of the United States within the last 14 days?
- Do you have any of the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Shortness of breath
- In the past 14 days have you had any contact with anyone who has these symptoms or may be infected with the COVID-19 virus?
If they answer "yes" to any of these questions, call the office ON-CALL LINE IMMEDIATELY at614-856-9111 option 7 and leave a message so we can call you right back with further instructions. Remain calm and professional, just because a person might answer "yes" to one of these questions doesn't mean they have the virus. We must treat everyone with the dignity and respect that we all deserve.
A NOTE ABOUT PPE:
Whether vaccinated or not, it is strongly recommended that team members wear the highest grade face mask available and appropriate per current CDC guidance. PPE is available for pickup at the PHCS office on Monday through Friday during business hours. Just call or email the office to let us know what types you need and we can arrange a time. We have gowns, gloves, masks, and shields ready and waiting for pick up.
For reminders on the appropriate use of PPE, see your in-services training for Infection Control / or, review the latest CDC guidance, or, the Team Member Information site for Staying Safe and Training.
IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY OF THE ABOVE SYMPTOMS, YOU MUST CALL THE ON-CALL LINE AT 614-856-9111 OPTION 7, to let us know. Please do not delay in contacting us. Our top priority is your safety and our patient's/clients' safety. We want everyone to stay as healthy as possible.
